Inspired by the short film Untold Herstory (b/w, 2018) by Taiwanese director Hsie San-Tai, which depicts the fate of women who were imprisoned in 1949 under the regime of Chinese ruler Chiang Kai-shek for 'thought crimes'. A roughly screened film still seems to emerge from the layers of closed blinds, behind which hidden lights shine faintly through. The women's facial expressions reveal both suffering and resistance.
